Alejandra Dorado Cámara was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Graduate of the Licenciatura en Bellas Artes (Bachelor of Fine Arts) with a minor in painting at the ARCIS Universidad (University of Art and Social Sciences), Santiago, Chile. During fifteen years she was professor of graphic design at the Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB). Creator and director of the project “La caja verde” (The green box), a visual arts workshop for blind youth.
She exhibited in the most important art galleries of Bolivia and she was invited to exhibitions, festivals and residences in Chile, the United States, Cuba, Argentina, Canada, Venezuela, Brazil and Ecuador. She is the curator of CIMIENTOS, an international festival of performance and actionism in Bolivia, she i salso creator of Ni Una Menos Cochabamba collective in defense of woman.
