ROSANA PAULINO
São Paulo, Brazil, 1967.
The artist graduated with a PhD in printmaking from the University of São Paulo after having obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the same University. In her work Paulino mainly explores the theme of the position occupied by black people, and in particular black women, in Brazilian society. She has participated in many art exhibitions both in Brazil and abroad. Paulino has received several awards in Brazil for her art performance, especially scholarships for academic studies as well as artistic creation.
