Pau Delgado Iglesias is a visual artist and teacher. She holds an MA Culture Industry from Goldsmiths, University of London (where she studied with a Chevening scholarship), a diploma in Gender and Public Policies from Universidad de la República (UdelaR), Uruguay, and a degree in Economics also from UdelaR.
She is adjunct professor at the Faculty of Arts (UdelaR) and a professor at the Faculty of Culture at Universidad CLAEH, in Uruguay. She writes a column for Semanario Búsqueda every two weeks. Delgado Iglesias has exhibited her works at: Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales, Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Centro de Exposiciones SUBTE (Uruguay); Momenta Art, Slought Foundation, Art in General, The Armory Show (United States); Galeria parasito/hunt kastner artworks (Czeck Republic); Centro Cultural Kirchner (Argentina); Galería Xippas (Switzerland); MuseumsQuartier (Austria); The Bag Factory Studios, (South Africa); and others.
In her artistic practice, her research has been focused on the construction of identities, particularly around issues of gender, body, sexuality, disability. She conducted numerous workshops and courses related to these topics, both in Uruguay and abroad. She is currently interested in Animal Studies, and developing a project on interspecies communication.
